The National Science Foundation (NSF) will initiate a Thematic Research Programme on Climate Change & Natural Disasters to address major issues through research, related to the theme and with a view to address the challenges climate change will pose to Sri Lanka’s development trajectory and to ensure that urgent and constructive actions are taken.

 NSF has dentified several Research Projects under the seven Thrust Areas (listed below) that will be multidisciplinary and collaborative in nature and are expected to provide tangible positive impact on the Climate Change and Natural Disasters.
